Right outside of Vancouver, just over Lions Gate Bridge, is Capilano Suspension Bridge. Cascading over the Capilano River, you will find Totems, a suspension bridge, Cliffwalks and a tree top jungle.
Capilano Suspension Bridge is a simple suspension bridge crossing the Capilano River. Capilano River is known for its large salmon population, and not far up stream, is a Salmon Hatchery!
There are hiking trails in the park, and treetop jungle bridges that you can get a birds-eye view from!
The park opens at 8:30am and cost $42 CAD to get in. If you head over to Canada Place in Vancouver, there is a free shuttle to and from the bridge, however, I recommend leaving early in the morning, and getting there once it opens! You will be able to experience the bridge without the rush of tourists.
In addition to the suspension bridge, there is also a Cliffwalk, right along the mountain that gives you a view of the suspension bridge and the river. You can get some great photos from here, especially if you get creative! I also have read that if you are looking for a less touristy suspension bridge, Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge is also great.
Until next time, Happy Adventuring!
