Every year for my birthday, I travel somewhere international. This year, Vancouver was the choice destination. With the Pacific coastline and mountain ranges, British Columbia is stunning. The coastal city of Vancouver merges its love for nature with its growing metropolis.
Vancouver is bustling with things to do, and also offers a lot of free activities. Not only that, in the summer, the sun rises early and sets late, so you have a long day to explore around. I love how you can hike the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the morning, and drink beer at one of Vancouver’s many breweries in the afternoon. Vancouver really does have the best of both worlds.
There is so much to do while in Vancouver, and public transportation is very easy. On sunny days, it is best to walk everywhere, take the Hop Off and On Trolley, or take the Aquabus to really embrace all it has to offer. A great way to get to know Vancouver is by checking out some of these hot attractions:
- Bike around Stanley Park and the sea wall
- Check out the Vancouver Aquarium
- Hike Grouse Grind
- Walk around Canada Place
- Check out Chinatown and the famous Chinese Gardens
- Explore Olympic Village
- Walk around Gastown and check out the steam clock
- Shop around Robson Square
I did so much, and I definitely couldn’t fit it all in one post. Over the next couple of days, I will be sharing my favorite things to see in Vancouver and its surrounding area!
Until Next time, Happy Adventuring!
